Apple and cranberries

Ingredients

for 8 pieces

Apples
apples (e.g. Braeburn), peeled
4 dl water
60 g sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
cinnamon stick
Serve
4 tbsp cranberries from a jar
organic lemon, use a little grated zest
2 pinch ground cloves

How it's done

Apples

Cut the apples in half crosswise, remove the cores. Cut out the apples using a cutter (approx. 65 mm in diameter). Bring the water, sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon stick to the boil. Add the apples, cover and simmer over a medium heat for approx. 5 mins. until soft.

Serve

Remove the apples from the poaching liquid, plate up. Mix the cranberries with the lemon zest and ground cloves, stuff the apples with the mixture.
