Pide pizza with chard and feta

Total: 55 min. | Active: 30 min.
vegetarian

Half pizza, half pide. Super-quick to prepare because this recipe uses ready-made pizza dough (but of course you can also make the dough yourself). The copious topping has a Middle Eastern touch. These pide pizzas go really well with salad, or cut them into small pieces to serve as finger food.

Ingredients

for 4 people

Chard
1 tbsp olive oil
onion, finely chopped
garlic cloves, finely chopped
50 g pine nuts
50 g raisins
400 g Swiss chard, cut into strips
½  lemon, the whole juice
1 ½ tsp ground cumin
¼ tsp chilli powder
1 pinch cinnamon
  salt and pepper to taste
Pide pizzas
800 g pizza dough
100 g feta, crumbled
2 tbsp milk
¼ tsp turmeric
1 tbsp black sesame seeds
To bake
½  pomegranate, seeds removed

How it's done

Chard

Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan. Briefly sauté the onion and garlic, add the pine nuts and raisins and cook briefly. Add the chard, cook for approx. 5 mins., stirring occasionally. Add the lemon juice, season the chard and set aside.

Pide pizzas

Cut the dough into 4 equal pieces. On a lightly floured surface, shape the dough into ovals, place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Place the chard in the centre of each oval, sprinkle with feta. Fold in the edges and press down gently. Mix the milk and turmeric, brush the edges with the mixture, sprinkle the sesame seeds on top.

To bake

Approx. 25 mins. in the lower half of an oven preheated to 220 °C. Remove the pide pizzas from the oven, top with pomegranate seeds.
