French toast with pumpkin puree
Ingredients

100 g | pumpkin puree |
2 | eggs |
2 tbsp | sugar |
¼ tsp | salt |
200 g | zopf bread, cut into strips |
clarified butter | |
50 g | sugar |
50 g | pumpkin puree |
How it's done
Preparation
Beat the pumpkin puree, eggs, sugar and salt in a wide dish. Place the bread strips into the dish, leave to soak for approx. 5 mins. Turn the bread and leave to soak for a further 5 mins.
French toast
Heat a little clarified butter in a non-stick frying pan. Reduce the heat. Fry the bread strips in batches over a medium heat on each side until golden brown. Empty the sugar onto a plate, toss the bread strips in the sugar. Serve the pumpkin puree with the French toast sticks.
