Roasted honey & sesame cauliflower
Ingredients
for 4 people
4 tbsp | soy sauce |
2 tbsp | lime juice |
3 tbsp | liquid honey |
1 tbsp | Maizena cornflour |
500 g | cauliflower, cut into florets |
40 g | black sesame seeds |
1 tbsp | sesame oil |
1 | garlic clove, squeezed |
1 tbsp | black sesame seeds |
200 g | basmati rice |
2 ½ dl | water |
1 ¼ tsp | salt |
2 tbsp | fried onions |
½ bunch | flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped |
How it's done
Cauliflower
Mix the soy sauce, lime juice, honey and cornflour in a large bowl. Mix in the cauliflower and sesame, transfer to the dish.
Roast
Approx. 30 mins. in the centre of an oven preheated to 200 °C.
Rice
Heat the oil in a pan. Add the garlic and sesame, sauté for approx. 3 mins. Add the rice and cook briefly. Pour in the water, bring to the boil, season with salt, cover and simmer over a very low heat for approx. 10 mins., turn off the heat and leave the rice to fluff up in the covered pan for approx. 10 mins. (do not remove the lid). Mix in the fried onions and parsley. Separate the rice with a fork. Plate up the rice, top with the cauliflower.
