Pizza bagels

Ingredients

for 8 pieces

Tomato sauce
1 tbsp olive oil
onion, finely chopped
300 g tomatoes, cut into approx. 2 cm pieces
1 tbsp tomato puree
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
¼ tsp salt
a little  pepper
½ bunch basil, finely chopped
Bagels
freshly baked sesame bagels
Topping
150 g mozzarella balls, cut in half
4 stick minipic, sliced
Bake
2 sprig basil, leaves torn off

How it's done

Tomato sauce

Heat the oil in a pan. Briefly sauté the onion. Add the tomatoes, tomato puree and balsamic, season, simmer for approx. 15 mins., stirring occasionally. Add the basil to the sauce, mix, allow to cool slightly.

Bagels

Cut open the bagels, transfer to a baking tray lined with baking paper.

Topping

Spread the tomato sauce on top of the dough rings. Top with the mozzarella balls and minipic.

Bake

Approx. 15 mins. in the lower half of an oven preheated to 220 °C. Remove. Scatter the basil on top of the pizza bagels.
