Pizza bagels
Ingredients
for 8 pieces
| 1 tbsp | olive oil |
| 1 | onion, finely chopped |
| 300 g | tomatoes, cut into approx. 2 cm pieces |
| 1 tbsp | tomato puree |
| 2 tbsp | balsamic vinegar |
| ¼ tsp | salt |
| a little | pepper |
| ½ bunch | basil, finely chopped |
| 4 | freshly baked sesame bagels |
| 150 g | mozzarella balls, cut in half |
| 4 stick | minipic, sliced |
| 2 sprig | basil, leaves torn off |
How it's done
Tomato sauce
Heat the oil in a pan. Briefly sauté the onion. Add the tomatoes, tomato puree and balsamic, season, simmer for approx. 15 mins., stirring occasionally. Add the basil to the sauce, mix, allow to cool slightly.
Bagels
Cut open the bagels, transfer to a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Topping
Spread the tomato sauce on top of the dough rings. Top with the mozzarella balls and minipic.
Bake
Approx. 15 mins. in the lower half of an oven preheated to 220 °C. Remove. Scatter the basil on top of the pizza bagels.
