Baked goat's cheese with cherry chutney
Ingredients
for 4 person
| 60 g | sesame seeds |
| 30 g | white flour |
| ½ tsp | salt |
| 1 dl | water |
| 300 g | goats' cheese (e.g. Chavroux Tendre Bûche), cut into approx. 3 cm slices |
| 100 g | cherries, pitted |
| 1 | red onion, cut into strips |
| 2 tbsp | white wine vinegar |
| ¼ bunch | thyme, leaves torn off |
| ¼ tsp | salt |
| 50 g | cherries, pitted, halved |
How it's done
Crumb coating
Mix the sesame seeds, flour and salt in a deep dish. Pour the water into a separate deep dish. Dip the cheese in the water and then toss it in the sesame mixture. Repeat this step two more times.
Cherries
In a bowl, mix the cherries with all the other ingredients up to and including the salt, place on a baking tray with the goat's cheese.
Bake
Approx. 20 mins. in the centre of an oven preheated to 200 °C.
Serve
Plate up the goat's cheese. Serve with the baked and fresh cherries.
