Double chocolate cookies
Ingredients
for 8 pieces
125 g | butter, soft |
125 g | full-cane sugar |
¼ tsp | salt |
1 | egg, beaten |
2 tbsp | water |
150 g | white flour |
1 tbsp | cocoa powder |
½ tsp | baking powder |
¼ tsp | sodium bicarbonate |
100 g | milk chocolate, coarsely chopped |
80 g | chocolate chunks |
¼ tsp | sea salt |
How it's done
Dough
Place the butter in a bowl, add the sugar, salt, egg and water. Beat using the whisk on a mixer until light and creamy. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda, mix into the batter. Mix in the chocolate. Shape the dough into approx. 8 balls. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper, leaving plenty of room between each ball. Sprinkle with fleur de sel.
Bake
Approx. 15 mins. in the centre of an oven preheated to 180 °C. Remove from the oven, allow to cool slightly, leave to cool completely on a rack.
