Beef skewers with cucumber salad
Ingredients
for 4 person
| 1 tbsp | rice vinegar |
| 4 tbsp | soy sauce |
| 2 tbsp | sesame oil |
| 2 tbsp | liquid honey |
| 1 | onion, coarsely chopped |
| 2 stick | lemongrass, core finely chopped |
| 500 g | beef frying steaks (minute steaks), cut into strips approx. 2 cm wide |
| 8 | wooden skewers |
| 1 tbsp | sesame seeds |
| 1 | cucumber, thinly sliced |
| 250 g | strawberries, quartered |
How it's done
Marinade
Puree the rice vinegar with all the other ingredients up to and including the lemongrass. Thread the meat onto the skewers, brush with 3 tbsp of the marinade.
Charcoal/gas/electric grill
With the lid down, grill the skewers over/on a medium heat (approx. 200 °C) for approx. 5 mins. on all sides, turning occasionally. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Salad
Place the remainder of the marinade in a bowl. Add the cucumber and strawberries, mix. Serve the skewers with the salad.
