Grilled sausage burger
Ingredients
for 4 pieces
1 ½ dl | rapeseed oil |
1 tsp | white wine vinegar |
1 tsp | mustard |
1 | egg |
1 bunch | basil, leaves torn off |
¼ tsp | salt |
a little | pepper |
4 | sausage spirals (approx. 130 g each) |
4 | burger buns, cut open |
100 g | endive salad, leaves removed |
½ bunch | basil, leaves torn off |
4 | gherkins, sliced lengthwise |
How it's done
Basil mayonnaise
Place the oil, vinegar, mustard and egg in a blender, puree to make a thick mayonnaise. Add the basil, briefly puree, season.
Charcoal/gas/electric grill
Grill the sausages over/on a medium heat (approx. 200 °C) for approx. 6 mins. on each side. Grill the burger buns alongside for approx. 1 min. on each side.
Serve
Cover the cut surfaces of the buns with a little mayonnaise, add the lettuce leaves, basil, sausages and gherkins, cover with the top half of the bun.
