Grilled cheese sandwich with asparagus
Ingredients
for 2 person
| ½ tbsp | oil |
| 200 g | green asparagus, lower third peeled, halved lengthwise |
| ¼ tsp | salt |
| a little | pepper |
| 4 slice | whole-grain toast bread (approx. 40 g each) |
| 20 g | butter, melted |
| 100 g | Gruyère, thinly sliced |
| 30 g | cress |
How it's done
Asparagus
Heat a griddle pan. Brush the asparagus with oil, place in the pan, grill all over for approx. 5 mins., season.
Sandwiches
Spread butter on both sides of the toast bread. Place the cheese on top of two of the slices, add the asparagus, top with the cress, cover with the remaining slices.
Grilled cheese
Heat the same griddle pan. Reduce the heat, place the sandwiches in the pan, grill for approx. 3 mins. on each side, pressing the sandwiches gently against the base of the pan using a spatula. Cut the sandwiches in half diagonally, plate up.
