Baked za'atar eggs
Ingredients
for 4 person
| 4 | ready-to-bake croissants |
| 75 g | cream cheese with herbs |
| 2 tbsp | water |
| 1 tbsp | olive oil |
| 50 g | baby spinach, finely chopped |
| 1 tbsp | Za'atar (spice mix) |
| 4 | eggs |
| 80 g | Irish smoked salmon in slices |
How it's done
Bread rolls
Press the insides of the croissants outwards a little to create a hollow. Place the croissants on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Filling
Combine the cream cheese, water and oil. Add the spinach and za'atar, mix, use to fill the croissants. Make a well using a tablespoon. Crack the eggs one at a time, carefully sliding them into the wells.
To bake
Approx. 20 mins. in the centre of an oven preheated to 180 °C. Remove, top with the salmon.
