Mandarin mulled wine
Ingredients
for 1 litre
7 ½ dl | white wine |
1 dl | white port |
5 | tangerines , squeezed, yields approx. 30 ml of juice |
3 tbsp | orange jam |
3 | cardamom pods, squeezed |
2 | cinnamon sticks |
1 | vanilla pod, cut lengthwise |
1 | star anise |
1 | tangerine *-* |
How it's done
Mulled wine
Place the wine in a pan along with all the other ingredients up to and including the star anise, bring to the boil while stirring occasionally. Remove the pan from the heat, cover and leave to stand for approx. 10 mins.
Serve
Reheat the mulled wine, strain, pour into glasses and decorate with the mandarin slices.
