Mandarin mulled wine

Ingredients

for 1 litre

Mulled wine
7 ½ dl white wine
1 dl white port
tangerines , squeezed, yields approx. 30 ml of juice
3 tbsp orange jam
cardamom pods, squeezed
cinnamon sticks
vanilla pod, cut lengthwise
star anise
Serve

How it's done

Mulled wine

Place the wine in a pan along with all the other ingredients up to and including the star anise, bring to the boil while stirring occasionally. Remove the pan from the heat, cover and leave to stand for approx. 10 mins.

Serve

Reheat the mulled wine, strain, pour into glasses and decorate with the mandarin slices.
