Gin fondue with fried potatoes
Ingredients
for 4 person
| 2 tbsp | olive oil |
| 600 g | baby potatoes, cut in half or into quarters |
| 1 | garlic clove, squeezed |
| ¼ tsp | salt |
| a little | pepper |
| 600 g | fondue cheese mix |
| 2 tbsp | Maizena cornflour |
| 2 dl | water |
| 1 dl | gin |
| 6 | juniper berries, crushed |
| 2 sprig | rosemary, finely chopped |
| 3 | garlic cloves, sliced |
How it's done
Fried potatoes
Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan. Reduce the heat, add the potatoes, fry over a medium heat for approx. 30 mins., stirring occasionally. Add the garlic, season, continue to fry for approx. 5 mins.
Fondue
Empty the cheese mixture into the fondue pot. Mix the cornflour into the water, mix in with the gin. Bring to the boil while stirring, reduce the heat, continue to simmer until the cheese has melted and the fondue is creamy. Stir in the juniper berries, rosemary and garlic, serve with the fried potatoes.
