Watermelon Margarita
Ingredients
for 1 person
| 100 g | watermelons, deseeded, cut into pieces |
| 1 tbsp | organic lime, use grated zest and 1 tbsp of juice |
| 1 tbsp | sugar |
| 1 pinch | salt |
| 3 cl | tequila |
| 2 cl | orange liqueur (e.g. Cointreau) |
| 2 cl | lime juice |
| 25 g | sugar |
| 1 sprig | peppermint |
| a little | ice cube, crushed |
| ¼ | organic lime, in thin slides |
| 1 | wooden skewer |
How it's done
Watermelon
Spread the watermelon out on a plate, freeze for approx. 1 hr.
Sugar rim
Pour the lime juice into a deep dish. Mix the lime zest, sugar and salt in a shallow dish. Dip the rim of the glass in the lime juice and then in the lime sugar.
Cocktail
Pour the Tequila into a measuring cup along with the watermelon and all the other ingredients up to and including the crushed ice, puree for approx. 30 secs. Add a little of the crushed ice to the glass, top up with the cocktail. Thread the slices of lime onto a skewer, use to decorate the cocktail.
