Cauliflower cheese
Ingredients
for 2 person
1 tbsp | olive oil |
1 | onion, finely chopped |
2 | garlic cloves, squeezed |
500 g | cauliflower, cut into florets, stem peeled and cut into slices approx. 1 cm thick |
2 dl | water |
200 g | Cheddar, coarsely grated |
100 g | crème fraîche |
½ tsp | salt |
a little | pepper |
30 g | breadcrumbs |
How it's done
Cauliflower
Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan. Add the onion and garlic, sauté briefly. Add the cauliflower, fry briefly. Pour in the water, reduce the heat, simmer for approx. 10 mins. until just soft, stirring occasionally. Mix in the cheese and crème fraîche, season, transfer to the prepared dishes, sprinkle with breadcrumbs.
To bake
Approx. 20 mins. in the upper half of an oven preheated to 220°C. Remove from the oven, allow to cool for approx. 5 mins.
