Two-tone strawberry and mango smoothie

As the weather begins to warm up, so does our desire for refreshing meals and snacks. Smoothies are perfect for satisfying little hunger pangs between meals. They are nutritious, refreshing, healthy, incredibly versatile and come in thousands of different combinations. If the fruit is sufficiently ripe, you shouldn't even need to add sweeteners. If not, simply add a couple of teaspoons of sugar or a sweetener of your choice for an utterly delicious smoothie. They also make an ideal snack for kids, ensuring that they eat more fruit throughout the day.

Ingredients

for 4 person

To freeze the fruit
200 g strawberries, cut into pieces
mango, cut into pieces
Strawberry smoothie
banana, cut into pieces
2 dl oat drink
Mango smoothie
banana, cut into pieces
1 ¾ dl orange juice
To serve
passion fruit, pulp scooped out
strawberries, sliced

How it's done

To freeze the fruit

Place the strawberries and mango in two separate freezer bags, freeze for min. 12 hrs.

Strawberry smoothie

Place the frozen strawberries, banana and oat milk in a blender, puree until smooth.

Mango smoothie

Place the frozen mango, banana and orange juice in a blender, puree until smooth.

To serve

Pour the strawberry smoothie into 4 tall glasses. Carefully pour the mango smoothie on top of the strawberry smoothie, garnish with passion fruit and strawberries.
