Classic BBQ sauce
Ingredients
for 3 dl
500 g | tomatoes, deseeded, cut into pieces |
1 | onion, coarsely chopped |
2 | garlic cloves, coarsely chopped |
3 tbsp | coarse cane sugar |
1 tbsp | tomato puree |
1 tbsp | mustard |
2 tbsp | white wine vinegar |
½ tsp | cayenne pepper |
½ tsp | sweet paprika |
½ tsp | salt |
How it's done
Sauce
Mix the tomatoes in a pan with all the other ingredients, bring to the boil. Reduce the heat, simmer for approx. 20 mins., stirring occasionally. Puree the mixture and press through a sieve, leave to cool.
