Hot sangria
Ingredients
for 4 person
5 dl | red wine (e.g. Rioja) |
5 dl | cranberry juice |
2 tbsp | honey |
2 | star anise |
½ | organic lemon, halved and sliced |
2 cm | ginger, sliced |
100 g | dried cranberries |
2 | red-skinned apples, cut into cubes |
How it's done
Sangria
Pour the wine into a pan along with all the other ingredients up to and including the cranberries, bring to the boil while stirring occasionally. Remove the pan from the heat, cover and leave to infuse for approx. 15 mins.
To serve
Bring the Rioja to the boil once more, strain, transfer the retained cranberries and diced apple to the glasses, pour in the sangria.
