Chocolate marshmallow mousse

Total: 30 min. | Active: 30 min.
vegetarian

This is a quick dessert that can be prepared in advance. It can be served in a glass or straight from an orange. The mousse is similar to American marshmallow cream and is very easy to make. The orange segments give the dessert a wonderful freshness, while the cinnamon adds a festive touch. Feel free to leave out the cinnamon if you're making this mousse at any other time of year.

Ingredients

for 4 person

To prepare the decoration
240 g chocolate marshmallows
Mousse
4 dl full cream
1 parcel whipped cream stabilizer
2 tsp cinnamon
2 pinch salt
Orange
4 piece organic oranges

How it's done

To prepare the decoration

Unwrap the chocolate marshmallows, carefully remove the waffle bases. Take two waffle bases at a time and put the sticky sides together, set aside.

Mousse

Beat the cream with the stabilizer until stiff. Add the chocolate marshmallows, cinnamon and salt, mix in gently so that the chocolate pieces are not too small. Cover and chill the mousse.

Orange

Wash the oranges thoroughly, place them upright on the work surface, slice off the top third of each orange. Slide a sharp knife around the inside of the skin and cut out all of the flesh. Segment the flesh between the membranes, cut into pieces, place half of the flesh back in the orange skins.

Orange mousse

Using a spoon or piping bag, spread the mousse on top of the pieces of orange, decorate with the reserved waffle bases.
