Cranberry mulled wine

Ingredients

for 8 dl

Mulled wine
5 dl red wine
2 ½ dl cranberry juice
80 g cane sugar
100  dried cranberries
organic orange, halved and sliced
cinnamon stick
cloves
star anise
1 pinch nutmeg
To serve
organic orange, halved and sliced

How it's done

Mulled wine

Pour the wine and cranberry juice into a pan along with all the other ingredients up to and including the nutmeg, bring to just below the boil, stirring occasionally. Remove the pan from the heat, cover and leave to infuse for approx. 10 mins., heat up again, strain and set aside the cranberries.

To serve

Pour the mulled wine into mugs. Garnish the mulled wine with orange slices and the reserved cranberries.
