French toast with berries
Ingredients
for 2 person
| 100 g | plain cottage cheese |
| ¼ dl | water |
| 2 | eggs |
| 1 tbsp | sugar |
| 2 pinch | salt |
| 4 slice | zopf bread (approx. 4 cm thick) |
| clarified butter | |
| 250 g | mixed berries |
| 50 g | plain cottage cheese |
How it's done
Bread slices
Puree the cottage cheese, water, eggs, sugar and salt, pour into a wide dish. Place the slices of bread in the dish, leave to soak for approx. 10 mins. Turn the bread and leave to soak for a further 10 mins.
French toast
Heat a little clarified butter in a non-stick frying pan. Reduce the heat. Fry the slices of bread in batches over a medium heat for approx. 2 mins. on each side until golden, keep warm. Serve the French toast with the berries and cottage cheese.
