Spicy hot chocolate

Ingredients

for 4 person

8 dl milk
vanilla pod, cut lenghtwise, seeds scratched out
cinnamon stick
star anise
red chilli, deseeded, roughly chopped
¼ tsp nutmeg
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp ground cane sugar
160 g dark chocolate, coarsely chopped

How it's done

Mix the milk with all the other ingredients up to and including the sugar, bring to the boil while stirring. Reduce the heat, add the chocolate, melt and stir until smooth. Pour the chocolate through a sieve into four cups or glasses.
