Ginger is a traditional home remedy for combating the onset of a cold and boosting the metabolism. Ginger shots are packed with potassium, phosphorous and Vitamin C, which help to strengthen the immune system and boost energy levels, and are therefore perfect for the colder months.

Ingredients

for 2 dl

100 g ginger, peeled, chopped
¼ tsp turmeric
lemons, the whole juice
1 dl water
1 tbsp honey
1 pinch cayenne pepper

How it's done

Place the ginger, turmeric, lemon juice, water, honey and cayenne pepper in a blender, puree for approx. 3 mins. until smooth. Pour the liquid through a fine sieve, pour into shot glasses or small bottles.
