Pear and ham toasties

Ingredients

for 8 pieces

Toasties
8 slice toast bread
2 tbsp apple juice
2 tbsp coarse-grain mustard
150 g smoked ham in slices
pears, cut into slices approx. 1 cm thick
150 g Appenzeller, cut into slices
2 tbsp hazelnuts, coarsely chopped
To bake
1 tsp coarse-grain mustard
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp plain yoghurt
  salt and pepper to taste
100 g lambs' lettuce

How it's done

Toasties

Place the slices of toast on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Drizzle with apple juice, spread the mustard on top. Add the ham, pears and cheese, sprinkle with nuts.

To bake

Approx. 10 mins. in the centre of an oven preheated to 220°C. Whisk the mustard, lemon juice, oil and yoghurt in a bowl, season. Add the lamb's lettuce and mix well. Serve the salad with the toasties.
