Eggnog
Ingredients
for 4 people
4 dl | milk |
1 dl | full cream |
1 | vanilla pod, cut lenghtwise, seeds scratched out |
1 | cinnamon stick |
2 pinch | nutmeg |
3 | fresh egg yolks |
40 g | sugar |
¾ dl | whisky |
3 | fresh egg whites |
4 | cinnamon sticks |
a little | nutmeg |
How it's done
Eggnog
Pour the milk and cream into a pan and add the vanilla seeds, vanilla pod, cinnamon stick and nutmeg, bring to the boil while stirring, then remove the vanilla pod and cinnamon stick. Whisk the egg yolks and sugar in a bowl until the sugar has dissolved. Gradually pour in the hot milk while stirring, mix in the whiskey. Beat the egg whites until stiff, mix into the warm eggnog.
To serve
Pour the eggnog into cups. Decorate each with 1 cinnamon stick and a pinch of nutmeg, serve immediately.
