Chocolate and nut biscuits
Ingredients
for 12 pieces
125 g | white flour |
60 g | sugar |
50 g | pecan nuts, coarsely chopped |
1 pinch | salt |
60 g | butter, cut into pieces, cold |
1 tbsp | water |
100 g | dark chocolate, cut into pieces |
How it's done
Biscuit dough
Mix the flour, sugar, pecan nuts and salt in a bowl. Add the butter and rub together using your hands to form an even, crumbly mixture. Add the water, mix quickly to form a soft dough, transfer to the prepared tin, press down firmly.
To bake
Approx. 15 mins. in the centre of an oven preheated to 200°C. Remove, allow to cool slightly on a rack, remove from the tin.
Chocolate
Place the chocolate in a thin-sided bowl and suspend over a gently simmering bain-marie, ensuring that the bowl does not touch the water. Melt the chocolate, stir until smooth, pour over the base, chill for approx. 10 mins., cut into 12 triangles.
