Raclette burgers
Ingredients
for 4 person
| 600 g | minced meat (beef) |
| 80 g | diced bacon |
| 1 | garlic clove, squeezed |
| ¼ tsp | caraway seeds, crushed |
| ¼ tsp | salt |
| 1 tbsp | olive oil |
| 1 | red onion, cut into rings |
| 1 | apple, cut into cubes |
| 2 tbsp | apple vinegar |
| 1 ¼ dl | water |
| ½ tbsp | sugar |
| ¼ tsp | chilli flakes |
| ¼ tsp | caraway seeds, crushed |
| ¼ tsp | salt |
| 4 | burger buns, cut in half crosswise |
| 2 slice | raclette cheese, coarsely grated |
| 2 tbsp | olive oil |
| 4 slice | raclette cheese |
| 150 g | white cabbage *-* |
How it's done
Burgers
Mix the meat with all the other ingredients up to and including the salt. Knead by hand into a compact mass, divide into 4 portions, shape into 4 burgers.
Chutney
Heat the oil in a pan. Sauté the onion for approx. 5 mins. Add the apple and all the other ingredients up to and including the salt, cover and simmer over a low heat for approx. 30 mins., allow to cool slightly.
Buns
Place the burger buns on a tray lined with baking paper, spread the cheese on the top half of the buns.
To bake
Approx. 5 mins. in the upper half of an oven preheated to 220°C.
Burgers
Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan. Brown the burgers in batches for approx. 3 mins., turn over and top with the cheese, cook for a further 3 mins. Place the cabbage, burger and chutney on the bottom half of each bun, cover with the top half, press down gently.
