Oriental beef skewers
Ingredients
for 4 person
| 2 tsp | honey mustard |
| 2 tbsp | olive oil |
| ½ tbsp | sesame seeds, crushed |
| 2 tsp | cumin, crushed |
| ¼ tsp | cinnamon |
| 160 g | bacon strips |
| 350 g | beef rump, cut into approx. 3 cm cubes |
| 2 | red onions, cut into wedges |
| 100 g | pitted prunes |
| 4 | long metal skewers |
| ¾ tsp | salt |
| a little | pepper |
How it's done
Marinade
Combine the mustard, oil, sesame seeds, cumin and cinnamon.
Skewers
Roll up the rashers of bacon, thread the bacon, cubes of beef, onions and prunes alternately onto the skewers. Brush the skewers with the marinade, cover and marinate for approx. 30 mins.
Charcoal/gas/electric grill
Season the skewers., cover and grill over/on a medium heat (approx. 200 °C for approx. 15 mins., turning occasionally.
