Beetroot and chocolate smoothie

If you've already tried all the classic smoothie combinations, then why not give this one a go! Beetroot and chocolate. This pairing may sound somewhat unusual at first, however the earthy flavour of the beetroot goes beautifully with bittersweet chocolate. A truly indulgent smoothie if ever there was one!

Ingredients

for 4 person

Smoothie
bananas, cut into pieces
pomegranates, halved, seeds removed, 1 tbsp set aside for the topping
pears, cut into pieces
boiled beets, cut into pieces
5 dl oat drink
2 tsp coconut oil
4 tsp cocoa powder
Topping
5 g dark chocolate, finely grated

How it's done

Smoothie

Puree the bananas in a blender along with all the other ingredients up to and including the cocoa, pour into glasses.

Topping

Decorate the smoothies with the reserved pomegranate seeds and grated chocolate.
