Apple sauce with quark and muesli
Ingredients
for 4 person
500 g | apples, cored, cut into pieces |
½ dl | water |
1 tbsp | ginger, coarsely grated |
1 | lime, use only half of the juice |
¼ tsp | bourbon vanilla powder |
1 tbsp | sugar |
150 g | mixed nuts (e.g. peanuts, hazelnuts and pecan nuts), coarsely chopped |
100 g | fine whole-grain rolled oats |
4 tbsp | sea buckthorn spread |
25 g | butter, melted |
1 pinch | salt |
250 g | half-fat quark |
How it's done
Apple sauce
Mix the apples, water, ginger, lime juice, vanilla and sugar in a pan, bring to the boil, cover and cook over a low heat for approx. 20 mins. until soft. Puree the apple mixture and leave to cool.
Crunchy muesli mixture
Mix the nuts, oats, sea buckthorn, butter and salt, spread on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
To bake
Approx. 10 mins. in the centre of an oven preheated to 200°C. Remove and allow to cool slightly.
Quark
Combine the quark with 4 tbsp of the apple sauce, divide between bowls, top with the remainder of the apple sauce. Sprinkle the muesli on top.
