There's no better way to start the day than with a sunny yellow smoothie! I consider a morning smoothie something of a luxury as it's time that I set aside just for me. If you like your smoothies sweet and fruity yet with a slight kick, then this blend of carrot, apple, orange and ginger is the one for you.

Ingredients

for 4 person

Decoration
½  organic orange, cut into 4 thin slices
Smoothie
carrots, sliced
orange, cut into pieces
apples, cut into pieces
Medjool dates, pitted
2 dl water
2 ½ dl coconut milk
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp white almond cream
1 tsp ginger, grated
some  ice cubes

How it's done

Decoration

Press one slice of orange on the inside of each glass. Place the glasses in the freezer for approx. 30 mins.

Smoothie

Place the carrots and all the other ingredients up to and including the ginger in a blender, puree for approx. 1 min. until the mixture turns creamy. Divide the ice cubes between the ice-cold glasses, pour in the smoothie, serve.
