Poached pears with cranberries
Ingredients
for 2 person
2 ½ dl | white wine |
2 tbsp | sugar |
1 tsp | gingerbread spice |
2 | pear (e.g. Alexander), peeled, halved, core removed |
1 tbsp | cranberry jam |
How it's done
To poach the pears
Bring the wine to the boil in a pan along with the sugar and gingerbread spice. Add the pears, simmer over a low heat for approx. 5 mins., turning the pears once. Leave the pears to cool in the liquid.
To serve
Remove the pears from the poaching liquid, serve with cranberry jam. Drizzle a little of the liquid over the top.
