Sausage and vegetables in pastry

These tasty snacks are very practical and ideal for eating on the go or serving at kids' parties. Vegetable sticks wrapped in pastry make a great vegetarian option.

Ingredients

for 4 person

Pastry dough
300 g light spelt flour
¾ parcel dry yeast
1 ½ dl lukewarm water
1 ½ tbsp olive oil
1 ½ tsp salt
Fillings
frankfurter sausage
carrot, halved lengthwise
courgette (small), halved lengthwise
2 tbsp mixed seeds

How it's done

Pastry dough

Mix the flour and yeast in a bowl. Add the water, oil and salt, mix and work into a soft dough, knead for several minutes. Cover the dough and leave to rest for approx. 30 mins.

Fillings

Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces, shape into strands approx. 20 cm long. Wrap one strand each around the sausages and vegetable halves, place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Brush with a little water, sprinkle with seeds.
