But what about porridge that tastes and looks like dessert, and is healthy and satisfying to boot? Each spoonful of this recipe is a sheer delight and offers the perfect blend of creamy, sweet, chocolatey and crunchy. This healthy treat is definitely worth a try!

Ingredients

for 2 person

Porridge
2 ½ dl almond drink
Medjool dates, pitted
2 tsp maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla paste
1 tsp cinnamon
1 pinch Himalayan salt
1 ½ tbsp cocoa powder
1 ½ tbsp dark almond cream (or peanut butter)
140 g fine whole-grain rolled oats
Cocoa sauce
1 ½ tbsp coconut oil, melted
1 ½ tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp maple syrup
2 tbsp almond drink
Toppings
2 tbsp Granola, of your choice
2 tbsp almond drink

How it's done

Porridge

Puree the almond milk in a blending cup along with all the other ingredients up to and including the almond butter, mix in the oats, cover and chill for at least 2 hrs. or overnight.

Cocoa sauce

Mix the coconut oil with the cocoa until smooth, stir in the maple syrup and almond milk. Serve the porridge in 2 bowls, drizzle the sauce over the top.

Toppings

Top the porridge with granola and almond milk.
