Chia jam is a simple and healthy alternative to traditional jam, which has a high sugar content. As it is made with fresh fruit and thickened with chia seeds, the flavour of the fruit really comes into its own. This jam will make a delicious addition to your breakfast table. Sweetening the jam with maple syrup allows you to determine just how sweet you want it. Simply add more or less syrup, as desired.

170 g frozen berry mixture (or other fruits)
1 tbsp maple syrup

How it's done

Bring the berries and maple syrup to the boil, reduce the heat and simmer over a low heat for several minutes until the berries break down. Remove the pan from the heat, stir in the chia seeds.
