Chocolate pastries with apples
Ingredients
for 6 pieces
1 | rectangular rolled-out croissant and Danish pastry dough or puff pastry |
1 | apple, quartered, cored, cut lengthwise into thin slices |
1 tsp | lemon juice |
2 tbsp | hazelnuts, roasted, coarsely chopped |
4 | chocolate sticks (Branche bars, each approx. 23 g), broken into pieces |
a little | coffee cream to glaze |
a little | icing sugar to dust |
How it's done
Dough
Cut the dough into 6 equal rectangles, place on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Filling
Mix the apple slices with the lemon juice, spread on top of the pieces of dough along with the hazelnuts and chocolate. Place two corners each over the filling, press down gently in the middle.
To decorate and bake
Glaze the pastries with cream.
Bake for approx. 20 mins. in the lower half of an oven preheated to 180°C. Remove from the oven, leave to cool on a cooling rack. Dust with icing sugar before serving.
