French toasties with banana and almonds
Ingredients
for 2 person
1 ½ | bananas |
1 tbsp | dark almond cream |
2 tsp | maple syrup or runny honey |
2 pinch | Himalayan salt |
¼ tsp | cinnamon |
4 slice | whole-grain toast bread |
2 tsp | maple syrup or runny honey |
2 tsp | coconut oil |
20 g | blueberries |
½ | banana, sliced |
1 tbsp | almonds, toasted, chopped |
a little | maple syrup or runny honey |
How it's done
Filling
Finely mash the bananas with a fork. Mix in the almond butter, honey, salt and cinnamon.
Toasties
Spread the filling over two slices of bread, top each with another slice of bread and press down gently.
Heat the maple syrup and coconut oil in a non-stick frying pan, fry the toasties for 2-3 mins. on each side.
Toppings
Plate up the toasties, cut in half if desired, top with the berries, bananas and almonds, drizzle with maple syrup. Serve lukewarm.
