Squash fondue slices

Ingredients

for 4 person

Squash slices
400 g squash e.g. butternut, cut into approx. 3 mm slices
1 tbsp olive oil
¼ tsp salt
a little  pepper
Cheese mixture
400 g fondue cheese mix
fresh eggs
¼ tsp nutmeg
Squash fondue slices
8 slice bread (approx. 300 g)
2 tbsp apple juice
4 slice ham, halved
¼ tsp mild curry powder

How it's done

Squash slices

Mix the squash with the oil, season. Place the squash on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

To roast

Approx. 25 mins. in the centre of an oven preheated to 200°C. Take out of the oven, remove from the tray.

Cheese mixture

Knead the cheese, egg and nutmeg thoroughly by hand until the ingredients form a compact mass.

Squash fondue slices

Place the slices of bread on the same tray, drizzle with apple juice. Place the slices of squash and ham on top. Cover with the cheese mixture, sprinkle with curry powder.

To bake

Approx. 15 mins. in the upper half of an oven preheated to 200°C.
