Turmeric latte

Turmeric latte is the in drink as the weather gets colder – for days when you don't really fancy a coffee but would still like something warm. The maple syrup and vanilla make the drink a little sweeter and balance out the strength of the ginger and turmeric. I add a pinch of pepper to help the body absorb the turmeric better.

Ingredients

for 2 people

350 ml almond drink
2 tsp rice syrup
1 tsp coconut oil
1 tsp turmeric
½ tsp cinnamon
1 cm ginger, cut into 3 pieces
½ tsp bourbon vanilla powder
1 pinch pepper

How it's done

Gently heat the almond milk in a saucepan for 3-4 minutes. Add the remaining ingredients, mix well and then remove the ginger. Whisk the latte again until frothy, then serve immediately.
