White wine sauce

Ingredients

for 2 dl

½ tbsp butter
shallot, finely chopped
1 dl dry white vermouth (e.g. Noilly Prat) (or white wine)
2 dl single cream for sauces
2 sprig thyme
¼ tsp salt
a little  pepper

How it's done

Heat the butter in a pan. Sauté the shallot. Pour in the vermouth and cream, add the thyme, bring to the boil, simmer over a medium heat for approx. 5 mins., season.
