Pappardelle bolognese

Ingredients

for 4 person

Sauce
1 tbsp clarified butter
500 g minced meat (beef)
onion, finely chopped
½ tsp garlic powder
2 tbsp basil, finely chopped
1 tbsp oregano, finely chopped
2 tsp salt
a little  pepper
3 tin peeled tomatoes (approx. 240g each, mashed)
2 tsp sugar
Pappardelle noodles
400 g pasta (e. g. Papardelle noodles)
  salted water, boiling
a little  Parmesan, grated

How it's done

Sauce

Heat the butter in a cooking pot. Fry the mince in batches for approx. 5 mins. Reduce the heat, add the onion, garlic powder, basil and oregano, sauté for approx. 3 mins., season. Add the tomatoes and sugar, bring to the boil. Reduce the heat, cover and braise on a low heat for approx. 1 hr.

Pappardelle noodles

Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente, then drain and mix with the sauce. Serve with parmesan.
