Pappardelle bolognese
Ingredients
for 4 person
| 1 tbsp | clarified butter |
| 500 g | minced meat (beef) |
| 1 | onion, finely chopped |
| ½ tsp | garlic powder |
| 2 tbsp | basil, finely chopped |
| 1 tbsp | oregano, finely chopped |
| 2 tsp | salt |
| a little | pepper |
| 3 tin | peeled tomatoes (approx. 240g each, mashed) |
| 2 tsp | sugar |
| 400 g | pasta (e. g. Papardelle noodles) |
| salted water, boiling | |
| a little | Parmesan, grated |
How it's done
Sauce
Heat the butter in a cooking pot. Fry the mince in batches for approx. 5 mins. Reduce the heat, add the onion, garlic powder, basil and oregano, sauté for approx. 3 mins., season. Add the tomatoes and sugar, bring to the boil. Reduce the heat, cover and braise on a low heat for approx. 1 hr.
Pappardelle noodles
Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente, then drain and mix with the sauce. Serve with parmesan.
