Turmeric frappé with green granita
Ingredients
for 4 person
| ½ dl | water |
| 60 g | sugar |
| ½ | cucumber, deseeded, cut into pieces |
| 1 | lime, rinsed with hot water, dabbed dry, use grated zest and juice |
| 2 | bananas, cut into pieces |
| 460 ml | vanilla ice cream |
| 1 tbsp | lime juice |
| 1 tsp | turmeric |
| 1 dl | water |
How it's done
Lime granita
Bring the water and sugar to the boil in a small pan, reduce the heat and simmer for approx. 2 mins. Pour the liquid into a measuring cup, allow to cool a little. Add the cucumber, puree. Add the lime zest and juice, briefly puree. Pour the mixture into a stainless steel bowl, leave to cool, cover and freeze for approx. 5 hrs., scrape the mixture four times with a fork until frozen.
Frappé
Puree the bananas with all the other ingredients, pour into glasses. Top with the granita, serve immediately.
