Beef with black sesame seeds
Ingredients
for 4 person
2 tbsp | toasted sesame oil |
2 tbsp | black sesame seeds |
1 tbsp | soy sauce |
2 tbsp | honey |
1 | red chilli, deseeded, cut into rings |
600 g | beef rump, cut into 1 cm strips |
1 tbsp | oil |
1 tbsp | oil |
2 | spring onion, onions sliced, greens cut into rings |
250 g | mini asparagus, halved crosswise |
100 g | shiitake mushroom, quartered |
2 tbsp | water |
1 tbsp | soy sauce |
How it's done
Marinade
Combine all the ingredients with a whisk, set aside 2 tbsp of the marinade.
Meat
Mix the meat with the marinade, cover and marinate for approx. 30 mins. Wipe away the marinade, heat the oil in a frying pan. Stir fry the meat in batches for approx. 2 mins. per batch, remove from the pan, set aside.
Vegetables
Heat the oil in the same pan, sauté the spring onions, add the asparagus and mushrooms, cook briefly for approx. 2 mins. Pour in the water and soy sauce, bring to the boil. Simmer for approx. 2 mins. Mix in the reserved marinade, add the meat, heat gently.
