Peanut butter clusters
Ingredients
for 12 pieces
| 100 g | sugar |
| ½ tbsp | water |
| 2 tbsp | full cream |
| 50 g | peanut butter |
| 100 g | cornflakes |
How it's done
Mixture
Boil the sugar and water in a wide-bottomed pan without stirring. Reduce the heat and simmer, swirling the pan occasionally until a light brown caramel has formed. Remove the pan from the heat. Add the cream and peanut butter, cover and continue to simmer the caramel until it has dissolved. Remove the lid and reduce the liquid to half the amount.
To make the clusters
Mix the caramel and cornflakes. Using 2 teaspoons, shape the mixture into 12 mounds and place on two baking trays lined with baking paper. Allow the peanut butter clusters to dry for approx. 30 mins.
