Fried rice with beef
Ingredients
for 4 person
300 g | perfumed rice |
5 dl | coconut water (organic) |
400 g | thin beef cutlets (e.g. sirloin) |
4 | carrots |
2 | garlic cloves |
4 cm | ginger |
1 | red chilli pepper |
sesame oil for frying | |
1 tsp | salt |
100 g | mixed nuts |
How it's done
To cook the rice
Rinse the rice in a sieve under cold running water until it is clear. Drain well. Bring the coconut water to the boil with the rice, cover and leave to simmer on a very low heat for approx. 15 mins.; do not remove the lid. Separate the rice with a fork.
To make the fried rice
Cut the beef into strips, coarsely grate the carrots, finely chop the garlic and ginger. Cut the chilli pepper into rings, remove the seeds. Brown the meat in a little heated oil for approx. 3 mins., remove and season with salt. Add a little oil. Stir fry the vegetables with the mixed nuts for approx. 5 mins. Add the rice, fry briefly. Return the meat to the pan with the cooking juices, heat gently.
